A louvered pergola is built to the patio, so every quote starts from a size, a mounting and a list of add-ons. Buyers cannot picture how screens, lighting or a powder coat change the structure from a brochure, so they ask for renders and a site visit. A rep prices the frame, motor, screens and lights by hand. Add-ons the frame cannot take are often caught only after the quote has gone out.
