Drag to orbit, change options and watch the price update.

Built by SBFSA trial, limited by design: no account and no saved designs (the link holds your colors), prices are the demo product's sample prices in USD, and there is no embed code. On Android, View in your space uploads the model once to open AR; it is deleted within two days.

01— Method

How a product configurator works

A product modeled once as options, rules and prices, so every combination can be shown, priced and built. Five steps, and how far this trial goes with each.

  1. 01Model the product once, as options

A configurator describes a product as options (size, shape, material, color, hardware) and one parametric 3D model that redraws itself from them, instead of a photo for every combination.

This tool: uses three of the site’s own demo products: dining table, fitted wardrobe, perforated metal panel.

  2. 02Encode the rules

Some combinations cannot be built. Rules gray them out or move a dependent option, so a customer can only order what the shop can make.

This tool: keeps each product’s rules; stainless or weathering steel panels, for example, ship raw and take no powder coat.

  3. 03Restrict colors to real paints

A screen can show any color, but a shop orders from a standard: RAL Classic for powder coat and metal, a designer collection for joinery. A brand color has to land on one of them.

This tool: snaps each brand color to the nearest paint the product offers by perceived color difference: your #1A4D8F becomes RAL 5002 Ultramarine blue.

  4. 04Price every configuration

Each option carries a price rule (per square foot, per option, per run), so the total updates as the customer configures and the quote matches the build.

This tool: shows the demo product’s sample prices in USD. They are not yours.

  5. 05Hand the order to the shop

A finished configuration becomes a quote, an order, a spec sheet and the files production needs, with no re-typing.

This tool: goes as far as the files. Copy a link, save a PNG image, download shop drawings as a PDF and cut files in SVG, DXF and G-code, or view it in your space in AR on a phone. No account, no real quotes and no embed code; that is what an SBFS build adds.

02— Free software

Looking for free configurator software?

This page is a free trial of our configurator, not software you install or keep.

Free here: configure our three demo products in your brand colors, and download the image, the shop drawings and the cut files. Not here: your own products, your own prices, saved designs or an embed for your site.

For a configurator on your own catalog, the choice is a SaaS platform you set up yourself or a custom build. On the pricing pages our comparison cites, ShapeDiver and Zakeke sell subscriptions (Zakeke publishes a 14-day free trial), and Threekit and Expivi publish no price list.

03— FAQ

Questions about the free product configurator.

What it does, what it leaves to you, and what it costs.

Yes: it is the same configurator engine and 3D products that run the demos on the SBFS site, with every option, rule and price working. It is a trial, so it uses our demo products rather than yours.

Each hex color is compared with every paint the product offers, in CIE Lab, a color space where distance follows how different two colors look, and the nearest one is used. RAL publishes no official screen values, so each paint’s swatch is the commonly used approximation.

Because a shop cannot spray an arbitrary hex: it orders a standard paint. The tool shows your color beside the paint it picked, so you can see the difference. A color far from every paint in the standard will be matched to the closest one there is.

On the table, the first color paints the top and the second the base; with only one color, a wooden base takes the top’s paint too. The wardrobe takes one lacquer for the carcass and doors; its handles come in metal finishes. The perforated panel takes one RAL powder coat, and only in aluminum or steel.

No, deliberately. Copy link (or the address bar) reopens the template, colors and options, but there is no account and no saved designs, the prices are our demo’s, and there is no embed code. On Android, View in your space uploads the 3D model once so the phone’s AR viewer can open it; it is deleted within two days. A configurator with your products, prices and quotes is what SBFS builds.

A PNG image of the design, shop drawings as a PDF, and cut files in SVG, DXF and G-code under For the shop. On a phone, View in your space shows it in your room in AR.

Not in this tool: it only offers the three templates. A configurator for your own catalog, with your options, rules and prices, is a project; book a call and we will scope it.

Free, with no sign-up and no email. The 3D runs in your browser and needs WebGL; on a device without it, the page says so instead of loading.
